Every child deserves the tools to learn, express, and feel seen. But for many children with autism in our community, a simple backpack can mean the difference between feeling excluded and being empowered.
At TAFI (The Autism Foundation International) in Rongai, we serve dozens of bright, beautiful children with autism and other developmental conditions. Many of them come from underserved communities where parents are unable to afford even the most basic learning essentials.
That’s where you come in.
For just 10,000 Kenyan Shillings, you can sponsor a “Hope Backpack”—a school bag filled with the essentials an autistic child needs to feel supported and succeed in the classroom.
Each backpack includes:
A set of color-coded exercise books
Durable crayons, pencils, and erasers
A visual daily schedule card for routine and independence
Basic sensory tools like stress balls or fidget toys
A communication board (for non-verbal learners)
A nutritious snack pack for daily energy
A personalized note of encouragement
These aren’t just items—they’re instruments of learning, stability, and dignity.
Children on the spectrum thrive on routine, comfort, and structure. Many of these tools are not available in public schools or at home. A structured backpack helps them focus, reduce anxiety, and participate fully in class activities.
Your donation helps close this gap.
With only 2,000 Ksh (approx. $15 USD), you are not just buying supplies—you are giving hope, belonging, and the power to learn.
Our goal is to reach 100 children by the end of this term. That’s 200,000 Ksh to empower our learners with the basics they deserve.
Whether you’re an individual, a church group, a corporate team, or a parent who understands—every backpack counts.
